Hey there, it’s Renzo! In this project, we’re in the city of Cerritos, completing a major smooth stucco job. For those unfamiliar with smooth stucco, it has the same soft texture as tex-cote coolwall but without some of its signature heat-reflective and insulating technology. However, smooth stucco still qualifies as an energy-efficient product, which provides another affordable solution to everyday homeowners who are interested in exterior painting.

In this smooth stucco project, we had our work cut out for us. Before, this house was badly damaged with cracked and peeling stucco.

If you notice in the before videos, there’s not a tree anywhere near this property, which prevented the home from getting any shade. Because the sun shined down on this house, its stucco was in really bad shape. Luckily, this homeowner was referred to us by another customer, and he was interested in seeing what we can do to fix his damaged stucco.

That’s where we came in! We gave the homeowner some options on what type of exterior paint he wanted: smooth stucco, tex-cote coolwall, cool life, tex-cote supercote or behr paint. After choosing smooth stucco, we went straight to work! As you’ll notice in the before & after pictures, we completely changed the exterior of this home. Gone is the damaged, peeling, fading yellow stucco and now this home has a smooth, light grey, modern, stucco that’s as soft as a plastic surface.

In addition to applying smooth stucco, we also removed the old deteriorating wood that they had in front of the garage and replaced their entire fascia boards, which had been eaten alive by termites. The after results speak for themselves – smooth stucco all around with brand-new white fascia boards. Now, this homeowner no longer has to worry about his exterior walls chipping or cracking for the foreseeable future.
